2021 ICPC Results

Divisional Finals

On October 16 2021, 86 teams competed in the 2021 South Pacific Programming Contest.

These teams came from 15 different universities in Australia and New Zealand, as well as a number of high schools, and were competing from a number of countries and formats, as Covid-9 kept some borders shut and cities locked down. Despite the challenges, the contest ran in good spirits and the judge team had no concerns over the conduct.

The judge team created a challenging problem set consisting of 13 problems, and all teams managed to solve at least two problems. The winners were Agents Smith, from the University of Western Australia who solved the entire set in under three hours. They were closely followed by Celestial Interface and Runtime Terror (both from University of New South Wales) and fightUsUNSW (from the University of Melbourne) who all completed the entire set. A special mention goes to Snorlax, the only other team to complete the entire set, and consisting of high school students training with the Australian Mathematics Trust.

Top teams from this contest will now progress to the Regional Final, to be held on December 11, 2021.
